Amaris 1050RS
The peak of performance
The peak of performance
The SCHWIND AMARIS 1050RS is the world’s highest-performance eye laser system for refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery. It brings together the most advanced technology in existence. With its repetition rate of 1050 Hz and its unique 7D eye tracking, it offers unmatched speed, precision, and safety for laser eye surgery. The very fine 0.54 mm laser spot it shares with all SCHWIND AMARIS lasers further enhances the precision and smooth corneal modelling of this device. The swivelling laser arm provides maximum convenience for doctor and patient.
The AMARIS 1050RS can be used with all standard laser treatment methods, including SCHWIND’s touch-free SmartSurfACE with its faster healing and faster vision recovery than traditional surface treatments. With SCHWIND CAM treatment planning, the AMARIS product family covers a uniquely broad range of applications.

Faster: 1050 Hz pulse rate
The extraordinarily fast repetition rate and extremely fast ablation of 1.3 seconds per dioptre provide more patient safety and comfort. The risk of corneal dehydration is minimised. It also reduces the time during which the patient has to fixate on the green light.
More precise: 7D eye tracking
Treatment success is enhanced by SCHWIND’s proprietary active 7D eye tracker, which enables a unique level of precision. It is linked to the SCHWIND diagnostic systems and captures all eye motion (static as well as dynamic) during the procedure, for outstanding outcomes.
During the procedure it precisely determines and compensates for the following eye movement dimensions:
1. X-axis
2. Y-axis
3. Horizontal rolling
4. Vertical rolling
5. Eye rotation around the visual axis: static and dynamic cyclotorsion
6. Z-axis: active compensation for upward and downward movements
7. Time: latency-free tracking predictively compensates for eye movement during the interval between acquisition of the eye tracker image and the next laser pulse.
Changes in pupil size are detected, and the laser is adjusted as necessary. In conjunction with the 7D eye tracker, this automatic function ensures correct centring throughout the procedure.

Versatile: SCHWIND CAM
The modular SCHWIND CAM software facilitates optimum treatment planning for a very wide range of applications in refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery. SCHWIND CAM takes into account all diagnostic data, including corneal wavefront, ocular wavefront and pachymetry (central cornea thickness).
The modules are:
- ORK-CAM for refractive corneal surgery
- PresbyMAX for presbyopia treatment
- PTK-CAM for therapeutic corneal surgery
The KPL (keratoplasty) option in PTK-CAM supports safe and precise corneal transplants for patients for whom perforating keratoplasty is indicated.
Touch-free and gentler to the eye: SCHWIND SmartSurfACE
The SCHWIND AMARIS family works with all common treatment methods. This includes SCHWIND’s innovative SmartSurfACE technology. SmartSurfACE combines the benefits of touch-free TransPRK surface treatment with innovative SCHWIND SmartPulse technology. In TransPRK, vision is precisely corrected through the top layers of the cornea, gently and without touching the eye. It works without suction, cut or incision. SmartPulse leaves the cornea surface smoother after lasering, accelerating the healing process. The patient experiences more comfortable treatment and faster recovery.

MedNET
Efficient electronic workflow within your practice
MedNET is simplified data administration, through the secure and straightforward connection of SCHWIND devices. Data is always accessible without the need for SD cards or USB sticks and the associated handling.
Patient files, system and treatment log files can all be stored centrally, in a virtual patient file for use in subsequent treatments. In addition, treatment videos can also be saved. All documents generated with MedNET can be stored as PDF files and printed out on any printer in the network. MedNET is
easy to integrate with the existing clinical IT infrastructure.
WiseNET
Intelligent web-based database to ensure and optimise treatment quality
WiseNET is a valuable help in securing a high level of treatment quality. With this web-based database the user can capture and evaluate refractive treatment data quickly and precisely, and present it graphically for all sorts of uses in daily clinical work. Diagrams show visual acuity, refraction including astigmatism, and follow up periods, so that treatment outcomes can be systematically monitored and improved. WiseNET is a valuable tool for individual analysis, in single practices as well as in large eye clinics.
Treatment results can be shared and compared with other members of the SCHWIND family via the SCHWIND Cloud Community. The user defines which patient data will be shown and who can see it, whether a study group, a privately initiated group or the wider SCHWIND group to which all WiseNET users have access. Patient-related data is always anonymised. If needed, data can be also shared and discussed with SCHWIND application specialists.
